Question 33" with stock suspension???

I've got a 2000 4runner 4x4 with stock suspension and no body lift. I'm om the market for new tires and I'd like to throw 33" on there, but I'm not sure how it will fit without a body lift... any suggestions? I've got 31's on there now and it looks like there's plenty of room.

Everything I've heard says they won't fit. To fit 33's you'll need a suspension lift and a body lift and probably some pounding and trimming.

Check out this link. It should have all the info you'll need.

Thanks for the link. There's a lot of good info on there! Any idea what the biggest tire size is that I can fit on a 2000 with stock suspension? If 33's don't work I think the next size down from that is the 265/75/R16 which comes out to be about 31.5 inches...

Yes the 265/75 16 should fit. It's generally thought of as a 32" tire even though depending on the brand of tire it's usually a little under 32".

So unless you have a lot of spring sag the 32's should fit.

It's kind of funny how much more work needs to be done to fit the 33's but I guess that's just what happens when you hit the limit...

Just put the BFG AT's on in the 25/75/16 size... Looks GREAT! Fills the empty space perfectly and they don't rub! Pics to follow soon!

What size is that again? You left out a number. 265? 285?

Cool, that's my favorite size for these trucks. I'm going to put a lift on mine eventually and I'm still going with that size.

It takes a 3-4in lift to fit the 33s properly. Im personally not a fan of the body lift but to each their own.
