I need some help with my 1990 4 runner . first of all let me tell you whats what . I have a 1990 4 runnner with a 3.0 v6.It first starting doing that surging thing. so my husband swap out the fuel pump. now when I start it up it runs good for a while then if shut it off it wont start again until a couple of hours have pass. Did he do something wrong . p.s right after he installed the fuel pump I drove it around for a couple of days with no problem thats when it started doing the same thing as before .can anyone offer any thoughts I can relay to him . lilmiss

 

took it to another garage .they had it for two weeks couldnt figure it out . been reading other post others with similiar issues but no one seem to respone to those too.today when we brought it home ran good good thottle response shut it off waited a few minutes and it started up I want to trust it ,but dont want to get stuck anywhere my husband says to drive it.that it was just bad gas what do you guys think .he put a couple of bottle of dry gas in it my sister inlaw said that her freind thinks that its probably a temp sending unit.I cant afford to taking it to garages lilmiss 4runner
