Hello to 4Runner Forum
Hello everyone. I am brand new here. Here is the 4Runner my wife and I own.
It is a 2005 SR-5 2WD V6 that we bought back in December 04. We have about 75,000 miles on it and we love it. My wife usually drives the 4Runner while I drive a 2003 Accord.
Mods are limited to 8000K HID headlamps and 3000K HID Fogs.
These pictures were taken last week.

Thanks guys. I sure would like to actively participate in this forum. I am part of V6 Performance.net, which is a Honda Accord forum, so naturally it has many members doing many things to their cars.
How does this forum compare to other 4Runner forums? I went to T4R.org and saw that the site was down (it is up today)
So anyway I look forward to discussing all things 4Runner, sharing ideas and advice.

Hey Vaseki, you are the only sign of life I have seen on this forum. Do you know much about 4runners ?
My son just bought an SR5 last week and he thinks he might be having a tranny problem. Do you know anything about trannys ?
Thanks.

I do not know much specifically about 4Runners, other than the specs of the one that we have. I am, however, technically inclined toward automobiles, so what I do know should apply to 4Runners.
What year is the SR5 you speak of? 2WD or 4WD?

Hi Vasevki, thanks for offering to help us.
My son thinks his tranny might be slipping. The car is a 2001 4WD with 112k miles.
I have driven it a few times and not felt slippage. What is the best way to determine whether the tranny is slipping: 1) just wait and see what happens, 2) go to a diagnostic center and see if they can run a dynamometer test, 3) try to get it to slip by driving it a certain way ?
What do you suggest ?
Do you think we are the only 2 people on this website ?
Thanks.
