Default Electronic Control Modules

I am requesting information on (E.C.M.) Electronic Control Modules. I have a "91 4Runner and installed a "90 4Runner engine. The problem is that the "91 motor has 13 prongs that connect the E.C.M., whereas the '90 motor has 10 prongs that connect the E.C.M. I hope there is a way that I can join 3 of the wires or some sort of adopter from the wiring hornest to the E.C.M. HELP...........

Default RE: Electronic Control Modules

this is a fairly common issue when you change engines from different year vehicles. your best bet is to get a service manual which may tell you what each prong does and then hardwire it, but it would likely be easier to find the electronics for the 90 engine.
