My friend has a 1991 4runner with a v-6 3.0 and the piston has a hole in it. we want to put a 1993 3.0 from another 4runner in it, will it work?? These are fully loaded, both are manuals. We were wondering about the wiring that goes into the passenger side firewall. There is no plug to seperate the harness. And are these engines interfering engines?? I race v-8s, but have no experience with something like this. Is there anyone out there that has gone through this mess? thank you in advance.

 

Cant think of a SINGLE reason your cant swap the motors. You have to unplug everything not just one connection far as I know, unless you do it at the ECU.
