Default How much oil does your 3.4 take w/filter change?

This is a repost-apologize to anyone who read it already-I'm putting it in a different section besides newbies.

I've got an '01 4wd w/about 230K miles. Bought it at 170K and it has been great, very little gone wrong-really only normal maintenance stuff. I use it as a daily driver to work and to commute/4WD at a nearby deer lease. I have one question about oil changes. Though the manual says 5.5 qts w/a new oil filter, I've found it takes closer to 6.75 to get its dipstick to the full (upper mark). Dipstick looks original. Did they not account for factory oil cooler? Anyone else notice this?

Sorry that isn't what i meant. Let me rephrase the question. My 01 4x4 4runner takes 1.2 extra quarts to reach the "full" mark on the dipstick compared to what the manuals says it should take, 5.5 quarts w/a new filter. Anyone else experience this? I mean its not big deal yet odd.
