Convertible Car Seats for 2005 4th generation 4runner
We have twins who are getting to the 1 year mark and its time to start thinking of the next car seat. I've read that it is best to find a car seat that fits best in your car. Can anyone recommend a car seat 30lbs and up that fits good in our 4runner? There are all kinds of car seats with great reviews but if they don't fit right in the car then they are not as safe.

Since, your twins are about to grow out of their infant seats, the next step would be to go for a convertible..
Most people recommend Britax Marathon for 4 runner.. The seat is just the right size (fits in most of the cars).. It has a good height and weight limit.(RF- 40 lbs), FF(70 lbs); good features like base with safe cell and side impact protection.

If you don't mind spending a little more then you could try Diono Radian.. It will last you longer because it can be used a high-back booster after 4.. The weight and height limit is also higher than Marathon.. Its actually slimmer than Marathon but has a taller shell, so RFing may be a problem (as you might have to move your driver n passenger seat forward to accommodate it). So I'm not entirely sure about radian but I know Britax would work for you perfectly!

Here is a comparison between these two, in case you are interested:

Hope it helped
