Default Binding Brakes

I've had my 95 4Runner in 4 times for a problem with the brakes. When I back-out of the garage in the morning, stop, and then go forward the rear brakes bind or, lock-up for 2-3 ft. When I get to the bottom of the driveway and stop the the brakes bind, <u>slowing the car faster than it should<u>. The 3hd. time I had it in for service they found the rear brakes were adjusted too tight. This eliminated some of the noise I've heard coming from the rear axel. But, the binding ie., the <u>slowing of the car faster than it should<u>, when the brakes are applied is still a problem. On ice, snow, or gravel, when this happens, the R.F. ABS will kick-in somestimes.

Default RE: Binding Brakes

I'm new to the forum, and looking for some help with a brake problemsimilar towhat this oldpost references.I bought a 1994 4 runner with 224,000 miles on itfor my son. After he and the18 wheeler mechanic he works for replaced the rearbrake lines, the brakes will seize after severalmiles of driving. This driving has been during very hot days.Once the car or the brakes cool off they release and we can drive it for 10 or so more miles before it seizes again. We think this seizing is limited to the rear brakes. I think there may be some air or water in the lines as they may have used older brake fluid when they replaced the lines...thinking that when its hot, the water expands and closes the rear brakes.
My solution is to flush the lines with new brake fluid. Am i missing something else, or doany of you haveany other advice on this brake situation?
thanks in advance.
