Default best suspension for riding around?

My 2000 4runner I just got I think the shocks have gone out on her. Anybody had any good experiences with different shocks? not to lift or race but just to make the ride more smoother, well more than mine anyways lol,

I was thinking about either tokico shocks or bilstien or should I just pay the 50.00 for the ones at autozone???

I picked up some Rancho 5000's at O'Reilly's for the same cost as the Monroe's. I have been real happy with them, but I have never purchased a Bilstien or Tokico either.

If you want a smoother ride, you want softer shocks. It will increase pitching and roll and will bottom out easier offroad. A "car shock" company is the way to go for a smoother ride. Munroe Sensa-Tracs are good shocks for road use.

I have Superlifts on my Grand Cherokee and like them...but it is by no means a "smooth" ride lol. That said, It handles much more crisply and with better agility, and performs better offroad. Ranchos are another good choice for stiffer shocks.
