Hi All
I am new here and came specifially looking for some info for my son who recently acquired a 1993 Runner V6 auto. The transmission appears to have gone out of the unit and he has not got a lot of money. He is looking for a used one from a wrecker to just replace it with. The problem is that we are in a small town in central BC Canada and are not close to any major so shipping is an issue. He has found a decent sounding 1994 Auto but the wrecking yard tells him that the 92-93 Autos are specific and different than the '94. Does anyone here know the issues? Could he use the '94 or is totally noncompatible. Any help would be appreciated as he is essentially walking and it's minus 12 celcius up here today, he needs to get his wheels back.
