I have a 2001 4 Runner and when trying to read the abs codes I get the flashing cruise light even with no shorting plug in the diagnosis socket . there isn't even any terminals in the plug where the shorting pin is supposed to be on early models. also there is no terminal in the OBD 2 connector that some people say to jump. I need to read the codes and so far no luck. Any help would be appreciated. No communication with the abs module with a scan tool going through the obd 2 connector.
