22re won't start
The vehicle:
1987 Toyota 4Runner 22re auto trans
Here is the problem:
My brother owned it and just recently turned it over to me. He said it just sputtered and died while driving.
Parts I have replaced:
Fuel Pump (only works when jumper wire is used in diag area fp & +B)
Fuel Filter
Plugs & Wires (spark checked)
Cap & Rotor (timing is on)
Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) (not set yet but i was told it should still run)
After working on it steady for the last few days (because it is mine now) I have found the the fuel pump dosn't kick on at all even when cranking over. So i did the jumper thing and the fuel pump now runs but only with the jumper hooked up but still no start. So I pulled out the cold start valve and it was very dirty so i cleaned it up with carb cleaner and reinstalled it something tells me it isn't opening as it should. Is there any other tricks I can use? I am pretty much stumped on this thing. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
Codes Thrown:
11- TPS amongst other things (cleared)
2- AFM open or short circuit
8- AFM or manifold open or short circuit (cleared)
Sorry for such a long post I wanted to eliminate as many questions as possible.[/align]

RE: 22re won't start
hummm there are a few other things.
02 sensor, vaccum lines (not likely but possible).
Tried to throw starter fluid in to see if it fires or what it does?
The fuel pump thing has me bothered, but need more info.
