Default 1999 Vibration under braking........

I am having vibration while braking problem with my 1999 4Runner. I replaced the front rotors and pads a few months ago and I just replaced the rear drums (pads are still good) yesterday and the problem got worse! It is my wife's daily driver and she puts maybe 5,000 miles a year on it. When the brakes are applied there is asignificant shaking. The problem only got worse after the reardrums were installed.Does this mean the problem is coming from the rear? Could it be the U-joint?

Thanks to all for your help.........

Sounds like warped rotors.. Pretty sure, but hard to say without driving it, could be more serious.

Take it to your local good brake check shop.

I agree to that answer. You need to take it to a shop, and check it for balance the tires. Make sure they can do a road force variation balance test. Not all machinces can do that. This test will determine whether or not it is the wheel itself or the tire. The tire can be out of balance with a broken belt. They can determine that it was the accident. Warped rotors will only vibrate when braking. Good Luck
