MPG 2.7L 4cyl. manual transmition

[8D]What kind of mileage can I expect from a 2000 4cyl 4runner with a manual trans.? My 86 with a 22re gets about 18-20mpg.

I've got a '98 runner with 4 banger that get 20 mpg. Not great for such a small motor = (
