Hey. My name is joe. i'm a new memeber, but a long time 4runner owner. I just have a stupid question about my truck. I drive a 97' 4runner, and everywhere i look tells me that my truck has a 18.5 gal. fuel tank. However I have never been able to put more than 15.3 gals. in. I even ran it out of gas one time and it still wouldn't take more than the 15 gallons. I wondering if anyone else has the same problem. Is it like ford vehicles, where the gas tank holds two gallons that you will never touch?
Most people might think i'm dumb for caring, but i travel long distance across the country in the truck, and at 18mpg on the highway i can barely go 250 miles between fills. its more of just a annoyance than anything.
