Default HID headlights

Newby here and I have a question. My wife just traded in her 02 LC for an 07 Runner. We had purchased an HID upgrade kit for the LC about 3 years ago andshe loved it. We kept the kit with the intent of putting it in the Runner. We bought the H11 bulbs plugged it in and got nothing. We put the old bulbs back in and got nothing. I tried reversing polarity, nothing. I hooked everything up to my 04 Tahoe and got lights with both sets of bulbs. Someone suggested trying the lights with the fogs on which I did and still got nothing. Anybody have any suggestions. As my wife has gotten older she has really come to depend on the additional light from the HIDs when driving at night. For the record they worked fine in the LC and her OEM headlights work fine in the Runner.

I got my 87 4Rnr converted to HID a couple months back. I don't know about the new 4Rnr's, but on the 87 the headlightsare controlled through the negative side of the circuit. I understand this is pretty unusual in the automotive world. So much so that when I had to get a separate set of high beams installed (HID's were low only) at another shop (the place which installed the HID's couldn't do fabrication work), they didn't want to deal with the wiring difficultiesso they just attached the hardware. I had to go back to the HID place to get the high beams wired up.

Might have to take your ride in to see somelighting specialists, becasue the fab shop had no problem wiring up headlights etc on most makes of trucks, but was hesitiant to work the headlight wiring on my 4Rnr.They were gald when I told them I'd get somone else to do the actual wiring hookup.

Ran into that with my wife LC that she traded in. We had to reverse the connectors to get the lights to work. That didn't help this time, but thanks for the suggestion. I might have to go to a lighting specialist on this one.

I have XenonDepot kit and my H11 work nice. You should check the ground wire as it common problem HID is very sensitive to poor ground.
