key fob

A lot of the manuals have instructions for programming the key fobs. If it simple says "take it to your dealer", then you could just do that. Otherwise, look on the back of the key fob and get the FCC ID # and the IC #. Once you have those, google them to see what you find. You might get lucky.

in order to program the key fob, you have to find specific instructions for your model year. MOST of the time, there is whats known as a Valet switch that needs to be pressed in sequence with certain keys on the fob. However, the valet switch is typically hidden and hidden well. if your alarm isnt aftermarket, your best bet is to have a dealer do it. they will not only know the specifics on programing, but will know the location of the alarms switches.
